Held this April 10, 5 pairs of Filipino and Koreans participated and showcased their singing talent using Filipino language (for Koreans) and Korean language (for Filipinos). Drawing a jam-packed crowd inside the canteen area, this program was a success with the support of all departments who gave time to cheer for their talented representatives.
On March 25, a total of 107 operators were gathered to undergo the second cycle of Operators’ Training Day. Conducted at the People’s Room, the participants were able to learn new courses such as the POWER OF PLANNING by HR Training, BASIC LIFE SUPPORT and EMERGENCY TRANSFER by Safety and Clinic Team, SEMPRO 0~1 STEP by MIG, and BASIC WORK ETHICS by the Participants’ Group Manager.
For two days from March 25 to 27, a total of 36 participants comprising of Staff, Engineers and Specialists attended an external training for Advanced Excel in intent to increase and improve their skills in using the said application. This training is part of HRT’s new program entitled EX-TECH [External Technical Education], a supplemental technical training for employees’ self-development this year.
Held last March 19 at the People’s Room, the Monthly President’s Forum has been a venue for the employees to be recognized especially those who have outstandingly made a contribution to their processes. Aside from the awarding ceremonies, the main focus of this program is for the President to provide monthly inputs on different aspects of the company’s Corporate Culture.
A total of 50 new employees Engineers (22) and Technicians (28) were welcomed by HR Group last March 11 through the NEW EMPLOYEES’ ORIENTATION PROGRAM. This program contains the Standard Orientation, Basic Technical Program and the Samsung DNA which ran for a total of three weeks. All these shall be taken before they will be sent to their respective processes and undergo the next part of the course which is their Workstation Training.
A special language program for Engineers, Specialist and Staff. It aims to provide all language enthusiasts with a convenient in-house extensive learning of the Korean language. This program started last March 5, 2019, and will run for a total of 80 hours. Class weekly schedule is from Tuesday to Thursday, 06:00~08:00pm.
Last February 16, 2019, A total of 61 new engineers, hired on the 2nd half of 2018, attended the NEO FIESTA at The Mills Country Club. It was a combination of teambuilding activities in the morning, and group presentation and fellowship in the afternoon that made the event fruitful and memorable to the participants, who was joined by 8 Managers the whole day. No less than the President and nine other expatriates graced the afternoon activity to witness, judge and award the video and cheer dance presentation.
The 85th Batch of NEO, composed of 27 engineers and 25 technicians, was conducted from January 21 to February 7, 2019. NEO Orientation runs for 3 weeks, which includes 1 week for Standard HR Orientation, 1 week for Basic Technical Program and 1 week for SAMSUNG DNA and Creativity Part. The 3rd week of orientation is followed by 60-hour Basic Korean Language.
The Trainers’ Qualification Program (TQP) for the year 2019 was conducted from February 19,21 and 22 at Co-Prosperity Room. This program aims to equip new trainers to know, understand and apply the basic methodologies of teaching for adult learners. TQP for 2019 catered 14 employees composed of Specialists, Engineers and Technicians from Production Groups, HRD, Safety and MIG.
A weekly education inside the production process where HRT visits a group to educate and deepen our employees’ knowledge about the Samsung Core Values. Being conducted every Friday during production’s morning meeting.
A thrice-a-week Korean Language training open for Operator, Staff, Technician, Engineer, and Specialists. This training aims to develop Korean language proficiency conducted by External Trainer. This runs for a total of 80 hours.
A Korean Language training for newly-hired engineers, being conducted from 5:30pm to 8:00pm for a total of 60 hours. TOPIK Level 4 passers are the assigned trainers for this program.
Aims to provide a more extensive education on Korean Language for at least 15 Engineers and Specialists, once a year. For a total of 360 hours, participants shall attend the training in SEMPHIL, followed by 1 month class in Headquarters in Korea.
A 20-hours review class for qualified TOPIK examiners, to help them prepare in passing their TOPIK test. Being conducted twice a year.
Aims to support our Expatriates in learning the Filipino Language. This program runs for a total of 20 hours, being conducted on a weekly basis by external trainers.
An annual teambuilding activity for all Filipino and Korean Manager to improve camaraderie and teamwork of all Managers outside the Company, conducted every May which consists of Teambuilding activities and Dinner/ Special Presentation.
An annual mandated leadership training to be offered and taken by Newly Promoted Employees from G2 Up levels. G2 and G3 being conducted by HRT, while G4 to G6 are being handled by our external training partners.
Part of the newly-promoted training program where G2 and G3 will have the chance to work and play together through a one-day teambuilding outside the Company.
Annual training for newly-assigned Field Leaders to enhance their leadership and decision-making skills. Conducted by HRT and Core Trainers, and supported by Team and Group Leaders as resource speakers.
Annual training existing Field Leaders as supplemental course to improve communication, team spirit, and leadership styles. Conducted by HR Training every November at People’s Room.
Combination of Teambuilding, Camping and Training spearheaded by HR Training annually for Process, Shift and Line Leaders outside the Company.
Composed of common training for all managers and an internal (per group) training about the 6 qualifications: Machine Principles/ 5M1E/ Defect/ Measurement/ MPQA/ Communication.
