Samsung Badminton Team, We Support Forever!

 

Samsung Electro-Mechanics founded the Badminton Team in 1996, which made Korean badminton known to the world by achieving excellent results in the Olympics, Asian Games, World Championships, etc.  In addition, various events such as Samsung Electro-Mechanics Cup Junior Singles Championship, Young Player Singles Championship were held to contribute to fostering the younger generation.
And Samsung Electro-Mechanics has been making an effort for badminton to be a sport for all and to expand its base as a national sport, and has implemented the company value of living together through badminton competition for disabled players.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics Badminton Team has grown to be truly the world’s strongest team with its outstanding performance to win about half of the Olympic badminton medals in history.
- Olympics 3 Golds, 4 Silvers, 4 Bronzes
- Asian Games 7 Golds, 6 Silvers, 13 Bronzes
- Wins of both Men’s and Women’s Teams in October 2018 Korean National Sports Festival
- Wins of Men’s Team in Korean National Sports Festival and Summer Championships by Section in 2017 to 2019 for 3 consecutive years

 


 


 

 



□ Transfer of the Badminton Team to Samsung Life on March 1


Samsung Electronic-Mechanics Badminton Team, which has positioned as the world’s strongest team, will move its base to Samsung Life on March 1st.
Samsung Life highly regarded the marketing value of badminton, whose base has been expanded into national sports, and requested the transfer of the badminton team, and the two companies finally decided to transfer the badminton team based on the review result.
All of Samsung Electro-Mechanics support the badminton team to grow further and continue to achieve good performance through the second foundation.
