Passive components—MLCCs, inductors, chip resistors, beads, etc.—comprise one of the key product groups of Samsung Electro-Mechanics. The company’s website offers a feature that allows for easy and convenient online passive component shopping. This feature, called “Buy Now,” links visitors to the distributor websites that carry the products they searched for.
What is Buy Now?
“Buy Now” allows visitors to purchase passive components manufactured by the company (including MLCCs, inductors, chip resistors, and beads) right from the site, by taking visitors to the distributor websites that carry the items they are looking for.
This online platform shows the quantity available from each distributor, and allows visitors to go to any distributor’s website, place orders and make payments on the spot.
The menu also displays the e-mail addresses of the distributors’ CEOs, so that customers can get quotes, discuss terms, and access quantity information with as less hassle as possible.
How to Use Buy Now
1) Visit the Samsung Electro-Mechanics website and click the Product Search menu.
2) On the Product Search menu, click the tab for the product you want.
3) You can choose either of the two search condition types:
- Type 1: Search by capacitance, size, or voltage
- Type 2: Search by Part Number
4) On the (search result) list displayed at the bottom of the search window, click the Buy Now button on the right.
5) You will see a pop-up window titled “Search Result” with a list of distributors. The list shows the names, e-mail addresses of the CEOs, and available quantities of the distributors, along with cart-shaped buy buttons.
- - To purchase on the spot: Click a cart image → it will open a popup window for the selected distributor.
- - To send a question via e-mail before purchase: Click the e-mail address → it will open an e-mail editor popup window.
