Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced on April 14 that it is holding an automotive MLCC webinar (web seminar) for key auto parts customers in Korea from the 13th to the 15th.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics explained that it planned virtual marketing as in-person communication has been restricted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
At the automotive MLCC webinar, Samsung Electro-Mechanics showcased the competitiveness and roadmap of its automotive MLCC technology to 600 development, procurement, and quality managers from 60 carmakers and auto parts manufacturers in Korea, and introduced the market and technology trends of automotive parts.
In addition, the company provided a customized solution suggesting an automotive MLCC suitable for technology trends in the automotive market, and listened to customers' questions, requests, and difficulties.

A procurement manager of a carmaker who attended this webinar said, “I haven't had a chance to hear detailed explanations about automotive parts, but through this webinar, I was able to learn Samsung Electro-Mechanics’ automotive MLCC technology and the technology trends. This will be very helpful for my work, and I look forward to seeing more events like this in the future.”

“The prolonged COVID-19 pandemic has limited in-person communication with customers, which makes it difficult for both customers and sales managers," said Cho Kookhwan, Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Samsung Electro-Mechanics. "In this contactless era, we will hold various marketing events for closer communication with customers."

Samsung Electro-Mechanics is a global MLCC manufacturer that develops and produces a range of MLCCs for automobiles, including advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), powertrains, and anti-lock braking systems (ABS).

The MLCC for automobiles requires a particularly high level of reliability as it is directly related to human safety. Samsung Electro-Mechanics' automotive MLCCs boast the industry's best product lifespan, product reliability (DC-bias: the product's capacitance decreases when DC voltage is applied), and withstand voltage (the highest voltage that the product can withstand without being damaged by voltage).
Samsung Electro-Mechanics is expanding the supply of MLCCs to auto parts and car makers at home and abroad by strengthening its lineup of automotive products with high-temperature, high-pressure, and high-reliability characteristics based on its technological prowess such as the development of ultra-granular material and next-generation equipment.
