Samsung Electro-Mechanics' town hall meeting is the company's unique communication channel where employees freely exchange their ideas with the CEO about the team's direction and work difficulties. This event was more meaningful because it was the first large-scale in-person event after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first town hall meeting in 2023 was held with the Electronic Component Business Team. The team is driving the future of Samsung Electro-Mechanics by making passive elements such as inductors, chip resistors, and tantalum, which are essential components of electronic products.
Along with CEO Duckhyun Chang, about 100 members of the Electronic Component Business Team attended the event, and freely discussed various topics such as technology, business, and organizational culture.
CEO Duckhyun Chang shared his opinions and answered frequently asked questions from members of the Electronic Component Business Team. He said, "Let's focus on differentiated technologies and actively explore new business areas. I expect that the Electronic Component Business Team will play a leading role in our future growth."
In response, the team members said that the direct communication with the CEO helped them better understand the company's vision, adding that “it was nice to envision the future growth of the team together” and “it was a great morale booster for the team's leap forward.”
Samsung Electro-Mechanics said it looks forward to communicating with more employees through town hall meetings and the continued success of the Electronic Component Business Team, which participated in this first in-person town hall meeting.
