On April 13, ‘Hope Dream Kiosk’ was opened at Samsung Electro-Mechanics(SEM)’s Suwon, Sejong, and Busan plants. Hope Dream Kiosk was introduced to spread a voluntary sharing culture, and 1,000 won is donated every time an employee ID is tagged on the kiosk.

On the first day of opening, at the kiosk installed at the Suwon plant, CEO Duckhyun Chang and many other executives and staff tagged their employee IDs to participate in the donation. In the kiosk, stories about children in the communities where each production site is located are posted. The amount raised is used for education, medical expenses, and living expenses, and another story follows when the target amount is reached.

SEM achieved its target amount in two weeks after installing the kiosk with the active participation of its employees. The company held an event to deliver donations to the person featured in the first story on May 2. The event was also attended by representatives of the company staff council and those employees who contributed the most. 3 million won raised by employees and a kickboard as a Children's Day gift were delivered to the person featured in the first story. The bright smile of the beneficiary who participated in the donation ceremony with her parents stood out.

Currently, the story of another sponsored child is posted on the kiosk at each of SEM's production sites. Hope Dream Kiosk will continue to deliver warm hearts to neighbors. Meanwhile, SEM is conducting social contribution activities focusing on youth education and employee participation under the slogan of 'Enabling People'. SEM's social contribution activities can be viewed in more detail on the website.
