Included in Sustainability FTSE4Good Index for 10 consecutive years

Samsung Electro-Mechanics has been included in the FTSE4Good Index for 10 consecutive years since 2011, receiving recognition for its sustainability.  

 

 

FTSE4Good is a sustainability index that comprehensively evaluates the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) aspects for all companies around the world and publishes the results on FTSE (Financial Times Security Exchange).
Samsung Electro-Mechanics has been included in the index for 10 consecutive years, receiving excellent results in corporate governance, supply chain management, pollution management, and climate change.
All of the production branches of Samsung Electro-Mechanics have received the ISO 14001 certification, providing an environmentally-friendly environment and system, and the company has been managing its air and water pollution that occurs throughout the production process at standards significantly below what is required by law as well as constructed a greenhouse gas reduction inventory.
In addition, Samsung Electro-Mechanics established its “Partner Company Behavioral Guidelines” to manage ESG from its supply chain, and it has also been conducting annual self-assessments and field inspections, and including its External Director as the Chairman of the Board of Directors to ensure independence and expertise of the Board since 2016.

In addition to FTSE4Good, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has received recognition for its achievements in sustainability, including being selected for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) World Index for 11 consecutive years as well as receiving the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Best Grade for 3 consecutive years and Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS) Grade A.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics has been transparently publishing its sustainability-related activities through its Sustainability Report which is published each year.
